It’s official; summer has said farewell and autumn has arrived.

Over this transitional time of year where days grow shorter and leaves begin to fall along the streets of our beautiful city, we often find ourselves trading balmy alfresco evenings for the allure of cosy fine dining. 

We at Cecconi’s, love to incorporate an authentic yet modern spin into our dishes and our new autumn menu is no exception. Our menu is impeccably balanced and is the perfect way to dine whilst paying homage to summer cuisine and welcoming heartier autumnal flavours onto your plate. 

Here are a few of our favourite menu additions featuring seasonal produce that’ll have you embracing the cooler weather in no time:

Corporates seeking a quick, tasty lunchtime treat will rejoice in the variety of our Antipasti section. Our Baccala crocchette with lemon and parsley emulsion is a truly bold yet light, authentically Italian dish with enough punch to satiate you between meetings or events. If you’re still savouring the taste of summer, you can’t go wrong with a serving of our freshly shucked oysters served with pickled pear and a refreshing wild lime dressing. Pair either of these scrumptious seafood bites alongside a glass of Prosecco for a truly classic combination.

If you’re in the mood for a sincerely seasonal taste, our Primi selection offers a perfect transition into heartier autumn dining. Ranging from lighter dishes that are great for sharing including our seared scallops with cucumber, green apple, dill and onion crisps or our popular crispy zucchini flowers, with baked ricotta, lemon zest, shaved pecorino and chives. If more robust flavours take your fancy, crispy grilled quail wrapped in pancetta, sage, grilled figs and vincotto or our classic slow roasted pork belly served with celeriac puree, warm radicchio and apple sauce offer the perfect flavour combinations to prepare you for your Secondi main course. 

A classic Italian menu wouldn’t be complete without freshly made pasta, an undeniable crowd pleaser. Try our hand made Pappardelle with beef and pork ragu, red wine and tomato for a richly nostalgic taste that’ll have you reminiscing of years ago.  Alternatively, fuel your taste buds with the traditional flavours of our roasted lamb rack, accompanied by pancetta wrapped green beans, potato fondant and lamb jus for a modern twist on a cold weather classic.
