It’s been a long winter in Melbourne, so it’s time to celebrate the warmer weather here at Cecconi’s! Our chefs have hand crafted a new spring menu that is sure to impress – so without further ado we’d like to introduce you to our favourite new dishes…
This spring, we welcome two new dishes to our ‘I primi’ menu, or otherwise known as our starters menu. Starting off with our Marinated Swordfish. This picturesque dish is seasoned with lemongrass, lime and pistachio, with blood orange and rocket flowers perfectly complimenting the swordfish’s natural moist, meaty flavour.
For those that prefer red meat, our slow cooked beef short rib is sure to delight. Complimented by house-made horseradish gnocchetti, mustard fruit and parsley puree, this dish is a house favourite.
Time to introduce you to our new mains! Firstly, an Australian favourite, with an Italian flare; our woodfire tiger prawns. Accompanied by garlic butter and fresh lemon, this dish is sure to please seafood lovers.
If you’d prefer something a bit more substantial, then why not try our slow roasted suckling pig, with broccolini, grapefruit marmalade and porcini oil.
For a fruity touch, try out our corn fed duck two ways, complimented by cumquat, carrot puree and brown butter vinaigrette. Or alternatively, why not try all three?!
Don’t worry, we couldn’t possibly forget dessert! Our new additions to the dessert menu are so good that you’ll want to try them regardless of how full you feel.
Our bignè with cocoa custard, dark crumb and fresh mango is the perfect summer dessert for pastry lovers, with its fruity flare.
If you’d prefer to indulge in something a bit sweeter, then time to try our strawberry semifreddo. Accented with pistachio, shortbread and rhubarb compote this dish is sure to win over savoury lovers.
As the crisp Melbourne winter subsides, Cecconi’s is the perfect place to warm up on a cool spring evening. What are you waiting for? Call us now to make a booking to try our new menu today!
